Cookie policy
QBasic Gorillas uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. This page says which, what for, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. They are used to remember things between pages or between visits: for example a preference, a session, or a way to measure how a site is used.
Technical and preference storage
Part of what the game remembers is not a cookie at all, but your browser's local storage: your nickname, your achievements and unlocks, your language and your sound settings. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Security and performance services (Cloudflare) may also use strictly necessary cookies to protect the site.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and how the game is used, in aggregate. These cookies are installed only with your consent and can be refused or withdrawn at any time.
Advertising
On the editorial pages of the site (this one, the about, guide, FAQ and blog pages) Google AdSense may set advertising cookies to show and measure ads. The game screen itself is not used to display ads. Advertising cookies are installed only with your consent, and may be personalised based on your browsing; you can learn more, and manage your ad settings, at Google's ads policies and controls pages.
Third-party cookies
The cookies set by Google (analytics and advertising) are third-party cookies; they are managed by Google under its own policies. The main ones are described in the analytics and ads links cited above.
How to disable cookies
You can refuse or delete cookies from your browser's settings; the steps differ by browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). You can also withdraw consent through the site's consent notice. Disabling cookies may limit some features, but the game itself continues to work.
