QBASIC GORILLAS Play the game

Privacy policy

Last updated:

This page explains what personal data QBasic Gorillas collects, why, who else processes it, and how you can exercise your rights. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish data-protection act (LOPDGDD).

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is The Studio of Javier Mendoza (sole trader), NIF ES74861015V, with address at Avda. Isaac Peral 7, 29004 Málaga (Spain), and contact email [email protected]. That email is the valid channel for legal notices, for support and for exercising your data-protection rights.

2. A game that asks for almost nothing

You can play QBasic Gorillas without creating an account. There is no login, no password and no profile. A nickname is optional and is used only if you want your wins to appear on the public leaderboard; it is stored next to the score and nothing else. Your achievements, unlocked taunts, language and sound settings are kept in your own browser's local storage, on your device, and are not sent to us.

3. What we do process

4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

5. How long we keep it

Leaderboard entries are kept while the leaderboard is in use. Analytics data is kept for the period configured in the analytics tool. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics. Data kept in your browser stays there until you clear it.

6. Who else is involved

We use service providers that act as data processors: Google (analytics and advertising), Cloudflare (performance and security) and our cloud hosting provider. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area; when that happens, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not sell your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data, request its portability, or object to processing. You can also withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To do so, write to [email protected]. If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, you can complain to the Spanish data-protection authority (AEPD, www.aepd.es).

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the service or the law. The date of the last update appears at the foot of the page.
